About the Author The grandson of Polish-Lithuanian immigrants, Alexander Gabis spent the first years of his life in a four-family tenement on 7th Street in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Early on the family moved to Arlington Heights in the Boston suburbs where Gabis attended public schools and enjoyed a typical baby-boomer upbringing. A child of the sixties, Gabis was drawn to the spiritual regeneration movement of that era at a time when a sea change was taking place in man's understanding of his true nature. He lived for 17 years on Chesterfield Drive in the Westchester Neighborhood of Camp Springs before moving to an organic farm in Missouri. He currently resides in Fairfield, Iowa, where he grows organic dahlias, and participates in the Invincible America assembly at Maharishi University of Management. |
